Super Pumped is an American anthology drama series that explores the high-stakes, often cutthroat world of Silicon Valley and the corporate titans who shape the modern economy. Each season focuses on a different transformative business story, chronicling the meteoric rise and often tumultuous fall of iconic companies and their visionary, yet controversial, leaders. The first season, subtitled 'The Battle for Uber', delves into the chaotic and ambitious tenure of Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick. It captures the company's aggressive growth strategy, the internal power struggles, and the ethical compromises made in the pursuit of becoming a global transportation giant. The narrative highlights the clash between Kalanick’s 'win-at-all-costs' mentality and the board of directors, led by Bill Gurley, who eventually seek to rein in his volatile leadership.
