Supermarket Stakeout

Supermarket Stakeout is a high-stakes culinary competition series hosted by celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli. In each episode, four talented chefs are dropped into a parking lot outside a local supermarket, where they must compete in a series of rounds to create the best dishes using only the ingredients they can procure from unsuspecting shoppers. The chefs have a limited budget and must negotiate, haggle, or convince shoppers to hand over their grocery bags before they reach their cars. The competition unfolds in three rounds, with the chefs facing unique challenges such as specific themes or restricted budgets. As the rounds progress, the least successful chef is eliminated by a panel of judges, leaving the final remaining contestant to walk away with a cash prize. The show highlights the creativity and resourcefulness of the chefs as they navigate the unpredictable nature of grocery shopping and the pressure of cooking under tight time constraints.
