Inspired by the television series and the feature film, S.W.A.T. centers on Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson, a born-and-raised Los Angeles native and former Marine lieutenant torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers. When he is tapped to lead a highly-qualified tactical unit that is the last stop in solving crimes in Los Angeles, Hondo navigates the complex pressures of balancing his allegiance to both his community and his brothers in blue. The series explores heavy social, political, and ethical issues alongside high-octane tactical action. Across its run, Hondo and his team—including Jim Street, David 'Deacon' Kay, and Christina 'Chris' Alonso—tackle dangerous criminal syndicates, hostage situations, domestic terrorism, and personal crises, all while striving to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the civilian population they swore to protect.
