Sword Art Online II

One year after the SAO incident, Kazuto Kirigaya (Kirito) is approached by Seijiro Kikuoka to investigate a mysterious player known as Death Gun in the popular virtual reality game Gun Gale Online (GGO). In GGO, players who are shot in the game by Death Gun also die in the real world. Kirito dives into the game to uncover the truth, where he meets Sinon, a skilled sniper dealing with her own deep-seated trauma related to firearms. Following the 'Phantom Bullet' arc, the series transitions into the 'Calibur' arc, where Kirito and his friends embark on a quest in ALfheim Online (ALO) to retrieve the legendary holy sword. The season concludes with the emotionally resonant 'Mother's Rosario' arc, which focuses primarily on Asuna Yuuki and a terminally ill girl named Yuuki Konno, leader of the guild known as the Sleeping Knights, exploring themes of life, mortality, and the true meaning of virtual reality.
