The 4400 (Miniseries)

Over the course of decades, 4,400 people who vanished without a trace have suddenly reappeared all at once in a ball of light at Mount Rainier, Washington. None of them have aged a day since the exact moment they disappeared, and none have any memory of where they were. As the returnees attempt to reintegrate into a society that has moved on without them, government agents Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris are tasked with investigating the phenomenon. Soon, it becomes apparent that many of the returnees possess mysterious, supernatural abilities that could alter the course of human history forever. As society grapples with the implications of the return, factions form both for and against the 4400. Led by charismatic returnee Jordan Collier, the 4400 Center emerges as a sanctuary and political force, while shadowy government agencies like the National Threat Assessment Command (NTAC) try to contain potential threats. The series explores themes of identity, evolution, fear of the unknown, and the unintended consequences of tampering with time and human biology, culminating in a crisis that threatens to devastate Seattle.
