The 8 Show

Overview

Based on the hit webtoons 'Money Game' and 'Pie Game', 'The 8 Show' follows eight individuals who are strapped for cash and invited to participate in a mysterious, high-stakes game show. They are locked inside an 8-story mysterious building, where time is literally money: the longer they stay, the more money accumulates in a shared prize pool. However, every necessity—food, water, electricity, and even time itself—costs thousands of times more than usual, deducting directly from their accumulated earnings. As the days pass, severe conflicts arise among the participants over resource distribution, hierarchy based on floor numbers, and psychological torture. The lower floors struggle for basic survival while the upper floors abuse their power and luxury, leading to brutal power struggles, manipulation, and moral corruption. The series serves as a dark satire on capitalism, societal inequality, and the lengths to which desperate people will go for financial salvation.
