The A-Team follows a fictional group of ex-United States Army Special Forces personnel who served in the Vietnam War. After being convicted of a crime they did not commit, they manage to escape from a military prison and flee to Los Angeles, where they work as soldiers of fortune while still on the run from the military police. Led by Lieutenant Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, the team includes the charming con man Templeton "Faceman" Peck, the eccentric and volatile pilot Captain H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock, and the formidable mechanic and brawler B.A. Baracus. Together, they use their unique military skills to help the oppressed and innocent outwit criminals, corrupt officials, and ruthless syndicates. Throughout the series, the team operates out of an iconic black GMC Vandura van and utilizes their trademark ingenuity to construct improvised weapons, armored vehicles, and complex traps to overcome heavily armed opponents. Despite their chaotic methods and relentless pursuit by military authorities—most notably Colonel Lynch, Colonel Decker, and General Hunt Stockwell—the A-Team consistently manages to outsmart their pursuers and complete their missions without suffering any fatalities among themselves.
