The Care Bears are a group of magical, multi-colored bears who live in the kingdom of Care-a-Lot, located high in the clouds. Each bear possesses a unique 'belly badge' that reflects their personality and special power, which they use to help humans solve their problems, express their feelings, and spread kindness throughout the world. Together with their cousins, the Care Bear Cousins, they work to protect the world from unhappiness and negativity. The primary conflict often involves the villainous Professor Coldheart, Beastly, or No Heart, who seek to spread gloom and selfishness. The Care Bears utilize their 'Care Bear Stare'—a powerful beam of light emitted from their belly badges—to overcome these antagonists and restore harmony. Through their adventures, the series emphasizes themes of empathy, emotional intelligence, and the importance of caring for others.
