The Doctors follows the life of Yoo Hye-jung, a headstrong girl with a prickly personality who acts out due to her difficult childhood. After being sent to live with her grandmother, she meets Hong Ji-hong, a kind-hearted teacher who becomes her mentor and inspires her to turn her life around and pursue a career in medicine. Their paths diverge after a tragic incident, only to cross again years later when they are both established medical professionals at the same hospital. As they reunite, the series explores the complexities of the medical field, the internal politics of the hospital, and the lingering feelings between Hye-jung and Ji-hong. Alongside their colleagues, they navigate professional challenges, personal growth, and the pursuit of justice for past grievances, ultimately learning the true meaning of healing both patients and themselves.
