The Exchange

Set in 1980s Kuwait, the series follows two cousins, Farida and Munira, who navigate the cutthroat and male-dominated world of the Kuwait Stock Exchange. As they strive to carve out a space for themselves in a rapidly modernizing financial landscape, they must contend with systemic sexism, professional sabotage, and the personal costs of their ambition. The narrative captures the vibrant atmosphere of Kuwait's economic boom, juxtaposing the glitz of the financial district with the traditional societal expectations placed upon women. Through their journey, the series explores themes of empowerment, resilience, and the pursuit of independence in an era defined by shifting cultural and economic tides.
