The Guest

Set in modern-day South Korea, 'The Guest' follows a fierce psychic, a cynical Catholic priest, and a determined homicide detective as they team up to fight powerful demonic forces. Yoon Hwa-pyung, a psychic born with shamanistic ties, seeks revenge against 'Sohn' (The Guest), a powerful demon that possessed his family twenty years ago. Along the way, he crosses paths with Choi Yoon, a cold and cynical priest who possesses strong exorcism abilities, and Kang Gil-ho, a pragmatic detective who initially refuses to believe in the supernatural. United by tragedy and a shared determination to stop the evil spirit, the trio forms an uneasy alliance. They investigate a series of bizarre, violent crimes committed by people possessed by the demon. As they dive deeper into the dark underbelly of society, they must confront not only the malevolent entity manipulating human malice from the shadows, but also their own inner demons and past traumas.
