The Guild

The Guild is a pioneering web series that follows the lives of a group of online gamers who belong to the same guild, 'The Knights of Good,' in a fictional MMORPG. The story centers on Cyd Sherman, a socially awkward violinist who struggles to balance her real-world responsibilities with her intense addiction to the game. As her life begins to unravel, she finds herself increasingly reliant on her guildmates for emotional support and validation. The series explores the intersection of digital and physical realities as the guild members eventually meet in person, leading to awkward social dynamics, comedic misunderstandings, and unexpected personal growth. Through its satirical look at gaming culture, the show highlights the deep, often complicated bonds formed in virtual spaces and the challenges of transitioning those relationships into the real world.
