The Hypnotist

When a brutally murdered family is discovered in the outskirts of Stockholm, Detective Inspector Joona Linna is brought in to solve the heinous crime. Desperate for answers and realizing that the teenage son survived the massacre with severe injuries, Linna turns to Dr. Erik Maria Bark, a renowned psychotherapist who specializes in trauma therapy and hypnosis. Bark had previously sworn never to use hypnosis again after a tragic case years prior, but he is forced to break his vow to unlock the traumatized boy's memories. As Bark delves into the boy's subconscious, a terrifying chain of events is unleashed. The hypnosis not only reveals shocking secrets about the murder, but it also triggers ghosts from Bark's own past, putting his career, his sanity, and his own family in grave danger. A race against time ensues as Linna and Bark try to outsmart a relentless killer and piece together the fractured clues hidden deep within the human mind.
