The Interest

Set against the backdrop of the Yeongpo branch of Nara Bank, the series explores the complex and often painful realities of office romance. The story follows four individuals with different perspectives on love, who find their lives intertwined as they navigate the professional hierarchy and their own personal insecurities. As they work together, they must confront the question of whether love is something that can be truly understood or if it is merely a byproduct of social status and timing. Ha Sang-soo, a man who values stability above all else, finds his predictable life disrupted when he develops feelings for Ahn Soo-young, a woman who views love as a fleeting, unreliable emotion. Their tentative connection is further complicated by the arrival of Park Mi-kyung and Jung Jong-hyun, whose own desires and circumstances force the protagonists to re-evaluate what they are willing to sacrifice for the sake of affection. The drama delves into the nuances of human connection, highlighting how pride, class differences, and fear of rejection can prevent people from finding true happiness.
