Set against the rugged and unforgiving backdrop of the Australian Outback, 'The Kangaroo Chase' follows Detective Elias Thorne, a disgraced former Sydney investigator who relocates to a remote mining town seeking anonymity. His quiet life is shattered when a series of mysterious disappearances linked to a local corporate conglomerate forces him back into the field. As he digs deeper, he uncovers a web of corruption that reaches far beyond the town's dusty borders. Thorne is forced to partner with Sarah 'Jinx' Miller, a sharp-witted local tracker who knows the terrain better than anyone. Together, they navigate the dangerous intersection of corporate greed, indigenous land rights, and personal vendettas. As the chase intensifies, Thorne must confront his own traumatic past to solve the mystery before the town's secrets are buried forever in the red dirt.
