Set against the neon-lit, underground vinyl-bar scene of Seoul, 'The Last Groove' follows a disgraced former music producer and a fiercely independent jazz pianist as they stumble upon a clandestine audio recording tied to an unsolved corruption scandal from the late 1990s. As powerful corporate forces and shadowy underground syndicates realize what the duo has uncovered, the simple act of preserving a piece of musical history transforms into a desperate, high-stakes game of survival. Throughout the series, the protagonists navigate labyrinthine alleys, hidden jazz dens, and betrayals from trusted allies, all while confronting the ghosts of their past failures. Blending the moody atmosphere of neo-noir with a soulful, pitch-perfect soundtrack, the drama explores themes of artistic integrity, redemption, and the enduring power of music against the backdrop of systemic greed.
