The New Adventures of Old Christine

The series follows Christine Campbell, a divorced, working mother who struggles to keep up with the pressures of motherhood, her career as the owner of a gym, and her complicated relationship with her ex-husband, Richard. Despite their divorce, Christine and Richard maintain a close, often codependent friendship, which is frequently tested by Richard's new, much younger girlfriend—also named Christine—whom the protagonist derisively nicknames 'New Christine'. As Christine navigates the social minefield of her son Ritchie's private school, she is constantly supported and challenged by her brother Matthew, who lives with her, and her best friend Barb. The show explores themes of insecurity, aging, and the chaotic nature of modern parenting, all while Christine attempts to find balance and happiness in a life that rarely goes according to plan.
