The Saint follows the adventures of Simon Templar, a suave, sophisticated, and elusive gentleman thief known as 'The Saint' due to his initials, S.T., and his halo-like stick figure calling card. Operating outside the law, Templar travels the globe, often intervening in the lives of the wealthy and corrupt to right wrongs, recover stolen goods, or expose criminal syndicates. His methods are unorthodox, frequently involving elaborate disguises, sharp wit, and a moral compass that distinguishes him from the common criminals he pursues. Throughout the series, Templar frequently clashes with law enforcement, most notably Chief Inspector Claude Eustace Teal of Scotland Yard, who is perpetually frustrated by Templar's interference and his ability to evade capture. The show is characterized by its episodic structure, featuring a mix of high-stakes espionage, murder mysteries, and lighthearted capers, all anchored by Templar's charm and his signature white Volvo P1800.
