Cinema & TelevisionThe Valleyfolk is a dynamic American comedy troupe and digital media group formed in 2018 by former BuzzFeed video creators. Known for their high-energy sketch comedy, pop culture commentary, and unscripted challenges, the group originally consisted of comedians Kevin Smalls, Lee Newton, Elliott Morgan, and Joe Bereta. Their content bridged the gap between traditional YouTube sketch comedy and late-night television variety. The channel achieved a massive milestone by winning the first season of NBC's comedy competition series *Bring the Funny* in 2019, securing a $250,000 grand prize. However, the group later faced significant internal conflict and public controversy regarding the sudden ousting of founding member Lee Newton in late 2020, which profoundly shifted their dynamics and audience perception.
