The Wilds follows a group of teenage girls from different backgrounds who find themselves stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. As they struggle to survive the harsh environment and their own interpersonal conflicts, the series reveals that their presence on the island is not an accident, but part of an elaborate, clandestine social experiment orchestrated by a mysterious organization. The narrative unfolds through a non-linear structure, alternating between the girls' harrowing experiences on the island and their interrogations by the experiment's handlers after their rescue. As the mystery deepens, the show explores themes of trauma, identity, and the complexities of adolescence, ultimately revealing the dark motivations behind the experiment and the psychological toll it takes on the survivors.
