The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a classic anime adaptation of L. Frank Baum's beloved children's novel. The story follows Dorothy Gale, a young girl from Kansas who is swept away by a powerful tornado to the magical Land of Oz. Upon her arrival, she accidentally defeats the Wicked Witch of the East and sets out on a journey to the Emerald City to seek the help of the mysterious Wizard of Oz, who is said to be the only one capable of sending her back home. Along the yellow brick road, Dorothy encounters three companions who each lack something essential: the Scarecrow, who desires a brain; the Tin Man, who seeks a heart; and the Cowardly Lion, who longs for courage. Together, they face numerous perils, including the vengeful Wicked Witch of the West, as they discover that the qualities they seek are already within them. The series is celebrated for its faithful yet expanded storytelling and its charming animation style.
