The Woods is a Polish mystery-thriller series based on the novel by Harlan Coben. Set in two timeframes—1994 and 2019—the story follows Pawel Kopinski, a Warsaw prosecutor who is still grieving the disappearance of his sister twenty-five years earlier. During a summer camp in 1994, his sister walked into the woods and was never seen again, leaving behind a mystery that has haunted Pawel's life and family. In 2019, the discovery of a homicide victim—a boy who vanished alongside Pawel's sister decades ago—provides long-awaited evidence that she might still be alive. As Pawel digs deeper into the past, he uncovers dangerous secrets kept by his parents and the people around him, forcing him to confront the dark truth about what really happened in the woods that fateful summer.
