Tiger Mom

Tiger Mom is a hit Chinese television drama that explores modern parenting styles, education pressure, and marital dynamics in urban China. The story follows Bi Cansheng, an ambitious and strict mother determined to give her daughter the absolute best education and competitive edge, earning her the title of a 'tiger mom'. In contrast, her husband Luo Su is laid-back, nurturing, and indulgent, acting as the 'cat dad'. As the couple prepares their young daughter, Luo Qianqian, for top-tier primary schools, their contrasting philosophies lead to intense domestic clashes. The pressure is further compounded by interference from grandparents, social expectations of property ownership in prime school districts, and the temptation of an old flame in the professional sphere. The series humorously yet poignantly critiques the intense 'involution' of the Chinese educational system and the toll it takes on family relationships.
