Turn A Gundam

Overview

Set in the distant future on Earth, the series follows Loran Cehack, a young Moonrace pilot who descends to the planet as part of a reconnaissance mission. After living among the Earth inhabitants for two years, he discovers the 'Turn A Gundam,' a powerful ancient mobile suit buried within a mountain. When the Moonrace launches an armed invasion to reclaim Earth, Loran finds himself caught between his loyalty to his people and his desire to protect his new home. The narrative explores themes of cultural clash, pacifism, and the cyclical nature of history. As the conflict escalates, Loran must navigate complex political landscapes and shifting alliances, including his relationship with Princess Dianna Soreil, the leader of the Moonrace. The series is noted for its unique aesthetic, blending traditional mecha combat with a pastoral, turn-of-the-century European atmosphere, ultimately serving as a unifying conclusion to the various Gundam timelines.
