Set in Montpellier, France, 'Un si grand soleil' follows the lives of various characters whose destinies intertwine through dramatic events, complex romances, and criminal investigations. The story kicks off when Claire Estrela returns to Montpellier after 17 years away, only to be immediately arrested for the murder of her childhood friend. To prove her innocence and protect her family, she must unearth long-buried secrets from her past. As the series progresses, it expands into a sprawling daily drama addressing contemporary social issues, corporate corruption, family dynamics, and intense police procedurals led by local law enforcement and magistrates. The vibrant backdrop of the Occitanie region contrasts sharply with the dark twists, betrayals, and ethical dilemmas facing the ensemble cast.
