Veep follows the whirlwind life of Selina Meyer, a former U.S. Senator who becomes the Vice President of the United States. The series offers a cynical, fast-paced, and hilariously profane look at the inner workings of the West Wing, where Meyer and her dysfunctional team of aides struggle to make a mark on history while constantly navigating petty political squabbles, public relations disasters, and the inherent powerlessness of the Vice Presidency. As the series progresses, the narrative shifts from the confines of the Vice President's office to the high-stakes world of presidential campaigns and the Oval Office itself. The show is renowned for its sharp, rapid-fire dialogue and its unflinching portrayal of the incompetence, ego, and ambition that drive American politics. Through Selina’s relentless pursuit of power and legacy, the show satirizes the absurdity of modern governance and the fragile nature of political influence.
