Wandaba Style is an original Japanese anime television series that blends science fiction comedy with the idol music genre. The story follows a bizarre and desperate mission to launch a rocket to the moon using obsolete technology, funded by a quirky scientific venture. To ensure success and secure public relations, the project recruits a group of five eccentric teenage girls to form a pop idol group named 'Wandaba Style,' tasked with performing in space. The series revolves around the hilarious misadventures, rigorous and unconventional training regimens, and interpersonal conflicts among the aspiring idols and the eccentric scientists leading the project. As they face technical malfunctions, financial ruin, and rival agencies, the girls must find harmony both on stage and in the cosmos to achieve their dream of reaching outer space.
