Watchmen

Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, the series takes place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 34 years after the events of the original graphic novel. The story follows Angela Abar, a detective who operates under the alias Sister Night, as she investigates the resurgence of the Seventh Kavalry, a white supremacist terrorist group that has adopted the iconography of the late Rorschach. As the investigation deepens, Angela uncovers a vast conspiracy involving the legacy of the original Watchmen, the mysterious billionaire Lady Trieu, and the long-absent Dr. Manhattan. The series masterfully weaves together themes of systemic racism, historical trauma, and the nature of power, culminating in a climactic confrontation that challenges the very definition of heroism in a fractured society.
