Webster

Webster is an American sitcom that follows the life of Webster Long, an adorable and precocious young African-American boy who is orphaned after his parents are killed in a car accident. He is taken in by his godfather, George Papadapolis, a retired professional football player, and his wife, Katherine, a wealthy socialite. The series centers on the cultural and lifestyle adjustments required as the couple navigates the challenges of raising a child in their upscale Chicago apartment. The show explores themes of family dynamics, social class differences, and the comedic friction between the street-smart, energetic Webster and the refined, often out-of-touch lifestyle of the Papadapolis couple. Throughout the series, Webster serves as a catalyst for growth and change within the household, often offering wise-beyond-his-years observations that help George and Katherine become more grounded and connected to their new role as parents.
