Welcome to Utmark

Set in the remote, isolated village of Utmark in Northern Norway, the series follows a community of eccentric and morally ambiguous characters whose lives are upended by the arrival of a new schoolteacher. As the newcomer attempts to integrate into the tight-knit, often hostile environment, she uncovers a web of secrets, petty feuds, and bizarre social dynamics that define the town's existence. The narrative balances dark humor with a gritty, atmospheric exploration of human nature. As the residents of Utmark grapple with their own personal demons and the harsh realities of their surroundings, the arrival of the outsider acts as a catalyst, forcing the community to confront the absurdity and the underlying darkness of their isolated lives.
