What Do You Do at the End of the World? Are You Busy? Will You Save Us?

Set in a world where humanity has been driven to extinction by mysterious 'Beasts,' the remnants of various races live on floating islands in the sky. Willem Kmetsch, the last surviving human who was frozen in ice for 500 years, awakens to find his world gone and his body heavily scarred. He eventually takes a job as a caretaker for a group of young Leprechauns—girls who are the only ones capable of wielding ancient weapons called 'Dug Weapons' to fight the Beasts, despite the fact that using these weapons will inevitably lead to their deaths. As Willem integrates into the lives of these girls, particularly the young and spirited Chtholly Nota Senior, he struggles with the trauma of his past and the impending tragedy of his new charges. The series explores themes of mortality, sacrifice, and the search for meaning in a dying world, as Willem attempts to provide the girls with a semblance of a normal life while they prepare for their final, fatal battles against the encroaching darkness.
