Mok Hae-won is a cellist who, after experiencing a series of disappointments and betrayals in Seoul, decides to leave her life behind and return to her childhood home in the quiet, rural village of Bookhyun. There, she encounters Im Eun-seob, a former high school classmate who now runs a small, cozy independent bookstore called 'Goodnight Bookstore.' As the harsh winter sets in, the two reconnect, finding solace in each other's company and the slow, rhythmic pace of village life. As their relationship deepens, the drama explores themes of forgiveness, healing, and the weight of past family secrets. Hae-won must confront the painful truth behind her mother's imprisonment and her own childhood trauma, while Eun-seob grapples with his long-held, quiet affection for her. Through the changing seasons and the warmth of the bookstore, the series portrays a gentle, introspective journey toward emotional recovery and the courage to open one's heart again.
