White Album is a dramatic anime television series adapted from the popular adult visual novel by Leaf. Set in the late 1980s, the story follows Touya Fujii, an ordinary college student whose girlfriend, Yuki Morikawa, is a rapidly rising pop idol. As Yuki's career skyrockets under the guidance of her ambitious agency and charismatic producer, the demands of fame increasingly strain their relationship, leaving Touya lonely and vulnerable. As the gap between them widens, Touya finds himself crossing paths with various women in the entertainment industry—including fellow pop star Rina Ogata—leading to a web of emotional entanglements, loneliness, and infidelity. The series explores the harsh realities of the music industry, the bittersweet nature of young love, and the complex psychological toll of ambition and neglected affection during a freezing winter.
