Overview

Set in Beiping during the 1930s, "Winter Begonia" follows the intertwined fates of Cheng Fengtai, a wealthy and pragmatic patriotic businessman, and Shang Xiurui, a genius and uncompromising Peking opera star. Brought together by their shared passion for traditional Chinese arts, the two form a deep bond of mutual respect and spiritual companionship. As the looming threat of the Second Sino-Japanese War disrupts their lives and puts their city under siege, Cheng and Shang must navigate personal trials, societal prejudices, and the brutal realities of war, utilizing their influence and art to protect their cultural heritage and stand up for their country.
