Yamato Nadeshiko follows Sakurako Nakahara, a brilliant and stunning flight attendant who grew up in extreme poverty and has since developed an obsession with wealth, high social status, and marrying a billionaire. Believing that love is useless without money, she rejects all romantic advances from men who aren't exceptionally wealthy. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Kensuke Nakahara, a humble man who runs his late father's failing fish market. Through a series of misunderstandings, Kensuke and his university friends—including a brilliant mathematician—cross paths with Sakurako. As Kensuke gets to know her, he realizes that beneath her cold, gold-digging exterior lies a deeply vulnerable woman haunted by her past. A classic clash of values ensues, leading to a charming exploration of whether true love can conquer financial ambition.
