Yaneura no Koibito

Yaneura no Koibito follows the life of Kinuko Nishide, a seemingly ordinary housewife living in a comfortable suburban home with her husband and children. Her quiet, routine existence is shattered when a man from her past—a former lover she hasn't seen in eighteen years—suddenly reappears and begins living secretly in her attic. This unexpected intrusion forces Kinuko to confront long-buried secrets and the suppressed desires of her youth. As the man continues to hide above her, the boundaries between Kinuko's present family life and her hidden past begin to blur. The series explores themes of domestic entrapment, the complexity of human relationships, and the psychological toll of maintaining a double life. As the tension mounts, Kinuko must decide whether to protect her current life or succumb to the pull of a love she thought she had left behind forever.
