Set at the Gangnam Police Station, the story follows four rookie detectives—Eun Dae-gu, Eo Soo-sun, Park Tae-il, and Ji Gook—who are assigned to the Violent Crimes Unit. Despite their lack of experience and initial incompetence, they are placed under the guidance of the legendary, hot-tempered team leader Seo Pan-seok. As the rookies navigate the chaotic and dangerous world of police work, they must learn to work together to solve complex cases while dealing with their own personal growth and internal conflicts. At the heart of the series is a dark, long-standing mystery involving Eun Dae-gu, who joined the police force to uncover the truth behind his mother's murder eleven years prior. As he digs deeper into the cold case, he discovers that his past is inextricably linked to his mentor, Seo Pan-seok. The drama masterfully blends procedural police action with a gripping revenge thriller, exploring themes of justice, redemption, and the bonds formed under pressure.
