Yowamushi Pedal

Yowamushi Pedal follows the story of Sakamichi Onoda, a timid, anime-loving high school freshman who initially intends to join the anime club to make friends. However, after his hidden talent for cycling is discovered by fellow students Shunsuke Imaizumi and Shoukichi Naruko, he is recruited into the Sohoku High School Bicycle Racing Club. Despite his lack of athletic background and his unconventional riding style, Onoda finds a sense of belonging and purpose in the world of competitive road racing. The series chronicles the intense journey of the Sohoku team as they train rigorously to compete in the Inter-High, Japan's most prestigious high school cycling tournament. Along the way, Onoda faces formidable rivals from other schools, such as the powerhouse Hakone Academy, and learns the true meaning of teamwork, endurance, and the spirit of competition. As he pushes his physical and mental limits, Onoda transforms from an introverted otaku into a vital asset for his team, proving that passion and perseverance can overcome any obstacle.
