Set in a world plagued by a mysterious zombie outbreak, the series follows Kim Moo-young, a man who wakes up as a zombie with no memories of his past. Desperate to survive and blend in among the living, he studies human mannerisms, learns to speak, and conceals his decaying appearance with BB cream and fake blood. Moving to the city, he takes over the identity of a deceased private investigator and opens an agency, hoping that solving criminal cases will eventually help him recover his lost memories and humanity. His path crosses with Kong Sun-ji, a passionate and tenacious former investigative journalist who is currently working as a part-time assistant at his detective agency. Unaware at first of his true undead nature, Sun-ji becomes an indispensable partner in untangling bizarre criminal cases. Together, the duo navigates the gritty underworld of Seoul while humorously hiding Moo-young's zombie traits, balancing laugh-out-loud comedy with suspenseful mystery-solving and unexpected emotional depth.
