Monster is an acclaimed television drama starring Naoya Uchida. Broadcast by NTV.

Set in the late 1870s, Deadwood follows the growth of a lawless South Dakota settlement from a mining camp into a town. The narrative centers on the tension between the camp's unofficial leader, Al Swearengen, who runs the Gem Saloon, and the arrival of Seth Bullock, a former marshal turned hardware merchant who seeks to establish order and justice in a place defined by corruption and greed. As the town navigates the complexities of gold mining, political maneuvering, and the looming threat of annexation by the United States government, a diverse cast of historical and fictional characters—including Calamity Jane, Wild Bill Hickok, and Alma Garret—interact in a gritty, Shakespearean exploration of the birth of American democracy. The series is renowned for its dense, profane dialogue and its unflinching look at the brutal realities of the frontier.
